  2. to test experimental kernel patches I can't say anything because I do not know your lspci output.. but if it is ok for you.. ๐Ÿ™‚ add: by the way it seems fine to me, maybe you miss some cpu features args and I do not see internal motherboard audio

  4. another step reached: Passed all except one USB controllers (ASmedia and two AMD one) รน Also passed Intel lan and Aquantia, deleted in config net0: vmxnet3=12:83:7D:28:45:26,bridge=vmbr0,firewall=1 to solve/adjust: Starting VM now null the chance to reach my host linux..I can navigate and all other functionality but..maybe I have to bridge something ๐Ÿ™‚

che ho una immagine di tutto questo che ho fatto per la VM da circa 400 Gb se provo a metterla sul disco con i settori a 4096 mi dice disco nn compatibile.. se lo converto a 512 posso farlo
  7. Ciao Renato, do not worry I have understood well and I am asking for others user help to find the best and correct way to do...Your link is useful and I have learned a lot from Proxmox wiki link While I am trying in my system, I am also trying to find a simple and intelligible way to write it ๐Ÿ™‚ No so simple, but take it as it comes ๐Ÿ™‚ In initial stage of my experience in proxmox I have not tried to pass an entire controller as I did now so it could work also as you say. Not tested Instead I tested well a thing passing and using an SSD with Catalina installed on..and it is working with EFI installed on it (same of HS or Mojave in my case) There is a "bug" I think in OVMF bios Inside it I have all my disk connected in sata controller passed but it is not possible to save a correct boot orders if you delete "qemu filled drive".. I think is a bug but if no other user can confirm it should be also a problem of my little knowledge ! ๐Ÿ˜‰
  8. some words about PCI,USB and SATA passthrough. Open a shell window in your host pc ant type lspci, you will have a similar list of useful data: 04:00.3 USB controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD] Starship USB 3.0 Host Controller 21:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GP102 [TITAN Xp] (rev a1) 21:00.1 Audio device: NVIDIA Corporation GP102 HDMI Audio Controller (rev a1) 23:00.3 USB controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD] Starship USB 3.0 Host Controller 23:00.4 Audio device: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD] Starship/Matisse HD Audio Controller 43:00.0 USB controller: ASMedia Technology Inc. Device 3242 44:00.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation I211 Gigabit Network Connection (rev 03) 45:00.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation I211 Gigabit Network Connection (rev 03) 46:00.1 USB controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD] Matisse USB 3.0 Host Controller 46:00.3 USB controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD] Matisse USB 3.0 Host Controller 47:00.0 SATA controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD] FCH SATA Controller [AHCI mode] (rev 51) 48:00.0 SATA controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD] FCH SATA Controller [AHCI mode] (rev 51) 49:00.0 Ethernet controller: Aquantia Corp. AQC107 NBase-T/IEEE 802.3bz Ethernet Controller [AQtion] (rev 02) this is a short selection of groups and data you should see in your shell. You can see USB controllers, audio controller, via controllers and so on With web interface we have a graphical way to insert this important stuff to pass controller completely. Web interface has a limitation..it is possible to pass only a limited number of PCI controllersf. It is simple to by pass this limit using shell editing. Web interface add: or to avoid 4 PCI limit also you can type in your linux shell: root@pve:~# nano /etc/pve/qemu-server/100.conf and you should see: You can compare easily with previous data in my linux shell (lspci) and see my "passed" stuff for now... This can work easily if groups are separated and well defined (search on Proxmox wiki for this), our new TRX40 shouldn't have many problems in this
  9. here in the guide the indication requested.. However I will try to explain better @Renato
  10. Hi Renato, this guide is in continue evolution.. Passed most of things and that link is very useful.. I am trying to clear all other things I did and put here in a clear way ๐Ÿ™‚ These are some of passed drive (passed 2 sata controllers) and following Asmedia and USB 3.1 and 3.2 USB controllers passed completely : I discover also a big OVMF bug..but I am investigating it ๐Ÿ˜‰ ah sorry HS.iso is basesystem.dmg converted in iso and uploaded on your host via web interface clover.iso is the same for clover.

  12. @Imanol for now better do not say exactly because it is not safe and with it I loose audio synch but... if you want try the key is to put Penryn in CPU: Penryn in vm and delete all (ALL) args line..you can comment it with # when you have time ..if you have configured well GPU passthrough I would like to see Cinebench 15 GPU benchmark (OSX/WIndows)) also luxmark3.1..and any test you can try ๐Ÿ™‚ Thank you
