    @Arrakis config-Arrakis.plist.zip with your previous EFi if you like try this obviously before with systems working with your EFI then if It works also for more complicated one 🙂 Backup your 😉

    @Arrakisdownloaded your EFI, there is a minimal correction on it you can do I think patches maintainer will update as soon they can also their GitHub: algrey - _cpuid_set_info - GenuineIntel to AuthenticAMD - 10.13/10.14/10.15/11.0/12.0 21.99.99 should be 20.99.99 (maxKernel) this has already been reported and will be corrected shortly

    ciao e benvenuto se stai tentando di installare catalina e BigSur avrai sicuramente un sistema senza accelerazione La scheda Grafica e' una Maxwell e quindi necessita di driver Nvidia Disponibili solo fino a OSX macOS High Sierra 10.13.6 Anche le EFI che hai trovato sono abbastanza vecchiotte ti consiglio di leggere le guide che trovi nel forum per creartene una tua e appropriata Comunque se rimani con quella scheda grafica non avrai accelerazione grafica e diverse difficoltà in piu' del solito

    @scipionehai controllato il SIP di quel sistema? magari devi attivarla oppure potresti provare a fare un enroll con hack Check ma meglio prima controllare sip

    ciao e benvenuto se vedi la struttura del sito troverai le varie aree dedicate.. una prima indicazione e' su che sistema intendi installare, capito questo trovi la relativa area ed apri il tuo thread nella sottosezione notebook della stessa, se presente. altrimenti nell'area generale del sistema che stai tentando di installare Se metti nella tua firma il nome del portatile e le sue caratteristiche, chi ha esperienza di notebook ti dirà se stai perdendo del tempo o hai possibilità di successo..e nel caso positivo..che sistema operativo e' supportato dal tuo PC 🙂

    @tuxybefore I was in a rush..so I will explain better public patches on AMD allow to boot till beta 3 if you have followed well also a not included patch you can find here or on insanely Mac : Force set cpuid_cores_per_package with this patch you can disable many other patches (broken for b2 and b3) so a conditional yes is a better answer to your question. 🙂 this patch is instead the one changed from previous beta 1 and available on AMD OSX Github: algrey _cpuid_set_cpufamily - Force CPUFAMILY_INTEL_PENRYN

    No no quella se riesci a prenderla a buon prezzo è ottima il pc che hai non la sfrutta tutta perche il processore è limitato(detta alla buona) ma è un ottima scheda se non la paghi più di 280 euro

    @Arrakisfrom this EFi and its related config.plist you can disable patch n.6: algrey - cpuid_set_generic_info - disable check to allow leaf7 then I see also this enabled: ProvideCurrentCpuInfo if you enable this you can disable: 13 and 14: algrey - tsc_init - remove Penryn check to execute default case algrey - tsc_init - grab DID and VID from MSR with ProvideCurrentCpuInfo is also included this patch as you know: algrey - cpu_topology_sort -disable _x86_validate_topology I still haven't been able to figure out who wins if the quirk and patch topology are activated at the same time I asked for clarifications but at the moment I have not received them 😉

    sorry, I see now you are in Big Sur OS and so it could be unrelated your CPU panic . For many problems are with new patches for Monterey, overall for beta 2 an 3.. I am lucky, with my MSI and 3970x I have had no panic if I do not experiment too much Proxmox way is different story and there many AMD cpu instruction are bypassed by virtualisation

    ciao @Allubzit seems (it is a my only opinion not confirmed by facts) that many users with 3960x have some problem, do you use Dummypowermanagement quirk? maybe that problem I see also in @Arrakisrig could be topology related... I will stay with regular Opencore and use old way to patch core count

    @Driftwood i can’t be an example because in this task I did many experimental test with also unreleased patches or Efi, also with clover bootloader. now I am also using an unreleased count core patch included in a opencore debug release(I can’t see the difference in hex because it is yet compiled). all this to say that in my case I have had zero problems to update from 11.4.11.5 12b1 or greater i am using a simple configuration as usual and only aquantia Ethernet and a pciex4 adapter for my third NVME drive. Motherboard nvme are fulfilled like 7sata ports with mechanical disks Listening on the net some people have different problems to update overall on beta 3 i can’t say it because I hadn’t this problem at all. by the way happy filming👍

    Benchmarking Monterey B3 and new PR EFI: in Cinebench 23 84° (4* more than Big Sur ) and a bit less of multicore benchmark

    After the countless tests done in this period, which still continue, I got to enjoy a little beta 3 with the programs I use Adobe suite works perfectly with the apps I use (Photoshop, After Effects, Media encoder and Premiere Pro) Blackmagic Davinci Resolve also seems to have no obvious problems Another positive note is also that the sleep / wake continues to work perfectly well!

    It seems many people have some problems to update to beta 3 from Big sur I have had no problem in update from beta 1 and from 11.5 rc also all is fine from a clean installation from usb pen
