    This is my worry. I use predominantly the DP ports. Dont really want to use the HDMI unless forced. Editing in 4K/8K monitors.

    Interesting that AMD are about to release an undervolting tool for Ryzen 5000 series. Apparently, improving performance by 10%. New AGESA... wondering if we will enjoy such new ideas in a BIOS update? Due out in early December and known as Curve Optimization, the new tool is designed to enable lower CPU voltages. That in turns means less heat and lower power consumption and, in some circumstances, higher clock speeds. The tool will require a BIOS revision for 400 and 500-series AMD motherboard chipsets including the AGESA 1180 update https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/amd-undervolting-tool-boosts-ryzen-5000/ Also Asrock Creator owners are still on AMD AGESA 1.0.0.3 patch C and AMD CastlePeakPI-SP3r3-1.0.0.4 Are any of you other mobo owners beyond that?

    Hmmm... thought Id already updated this... unless Im mistaken. ah well 10.15.7 (19H105) it now is on Catalina. Only one reboot for this update.

    Wanna see your Big Sur Data drive from within Catalina? The only way is to open Disk Utility, right click on the drive, Show in Finder and Viola! It opens.

    Yeah I been using defaults. Nice to see AMD Power Gadget working :-) Has anyone found a way to see the Big Sur Boot drive (not Preboot) from within Catalina yet?

    Finally got this sussed albeit old version. Camtasia v2.10.8 (great screen recording & editing software) works on baremetal / cat&BS. Whereas, version 3, 2019 & 2020 do not as its Intel Fast Memset dylib primed. However, 2019 & 2020 on Proxintosh work fine. https://www.techsmith.com/download/oldversions(edited)

    Yep. I can confirm our leader @fabiosun is indeed correct. Everything working in BM now. Fairlight with Fireface800 and all AU/vsts working good. :-)

    For those who dont know you can share the same catalina/bs NVME INSTALL between two different EFIs for Proxmox & bare metal. ie you dont need to have two separate OS X installs. In my case, one EFI on a USB for bare metal, and the Proxmox efi coming off the boot sector on another nvme. Keeps em safe from corruption. But it means if you need Intel 100% compatibility apps like Camtasia (or you dont wanna dylib hax for Adobe/Davinci) you can simply reboot to Proxmox. I can update apps in both environments - within bare metal & proxmox - and when you return to the other u should have no problems and see everything. Of course for Proxmox you'll need a separate usb (e.g. 64gb thumb or an old ssd drive on the sata/ext usb) for its host system files. Life's easy and enjoy the best of both worlds! PS Logic 10.6 works fine on both Cat latest build and Big Sur.

    Still switch to my Proxmox boot now and again. Thought Id load up the Proxmox Catalina Cinebench 23. Here's results. Proxmox has its uses such as certain Intel primed compiled progs like Camtasia, new Davinci 17 (it flies), Adobe all compatible without hacked dylibs...etc...

    All those work great in Bare Metal or Proxmox. And I use Omnisphere. Firewire/Fireface800

    Big Sur Update to macOS 11.0.1 (20B5012d) all good and Sleep/restart working fine.

    All current beta stuff works without patches. Photoshop wasn't in the beta run so there you go...
