  1. @Ploddles have you ran Cinebench R23 on your hack? I just did and the numbers are quite low it seems. Single core is 1054, while multicore stands at 42319. I am curious what are your numbers?
  2. hey everyone, I just got a kernel panic and here is the report. Can anyone tell me what's the problem? panic(cpu 0 caller 0xffffff800a5ed0e6): Kernel trap at 0xffffff800a301057, type 14=page fault, registers: CR0: 0x000000008001003b, CR2: 0xffffffa3ef521000, CR3: 0x0000000013f76000, CR4: 0x00000000003406e0 RAX: 0xffffffa1aa8860b0, RBX: 0xffffff94e9c07700, RCX: 0x000000000000002c, RDX: 0x00000000000002e4 RSP: 0xffffffa42c443cf8, RBP: 0xffffffa42c443e10, RSI: 0xffffffa3ef521000, RDI: 0xffffffa1aa886368 R8: 0x00000000000002e4, R9: 0x0000000000000006, R10: 0x0000000000000000, R11: 0x0000000000000000 R12: 0x000088d095b05bb5, R13: 0xfffffff385c0d8f4, R14: 0xffffff800f24c210, R15: 0x0000000000000001 RFL: 0x0000000000010286, RIP: 0xffffff800a301057, CS: 0x0000000000000008, SS: 0x0000000000000010 Fault CR2: 0xffffffa3ef521000, Error code: 0x0000000000000000, Fault CPU: 0x0, PL: 0, VF: 1 Backtrace (CPU 0), Frame : Return Address 0xffffffa42c443710 : 0xffffff800a4b9aed 0xffffffa42c443760 : 0xffffff800a5fc6e3 0xffffffa42c4437a0 : 0xffffff800a5ecd1a 0xffffffa42c4437f0 : 0xffffff800a45ea2f 0xffffffa42c443810 : 0xffffff800a4b938d 0xffffffa42c443930 : 0xffffff800a4b9678 0xffffffa42c4439a0 : 0xffffff800acbe3ca 0xffffffa42c443a10 : 0xffffff800a5ed0e6 0xffffffa42c443b90 : 0xffffff800a5ecdcd 0xffffffa42c443be0 : 0xffffff800a45ea2f 0xffffffa42c443c00 : 0xffffff800a301057 0xffffffa42c443e10 : 0xffffff800f24c163 0xffffffa42c443e70 : 0xffffff800f24c81d 0xffffffa42c443ee0 : 0xffffff800ac175c0 0xffffffa42c443f30 : 0xffffff800ac15d2e 0xffffffa42c443f70 : 0xffffff800ac15316 0xffffffa42c443fa0 : 0xffffff800a45e13e Kernel Extensions in backtrace: com.zxystd.AirportItlwm(1.2)[D73F31CE-44EB-3666-B0A9-9FFC8D2397A7]@0xffffff800f1df000->0xffffff800ff1bfff dependency: com.apple.iokit.IO80211Family(1200.12.2b1)[ABB341FB-8D9E-344D-8032-AFB070B29023]@0xffffff800be3f000->0xffffff800bf78fff dependency: com.apple.iokit.IONetworkingFamily(3.4)[9178A2AA-EFFD-3DA3-86C3-08EFD4DAF005]@0xffffff800cb93000->0xffffff800cba9fff dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOPCIFamily(2.9)[D0F1BFB8-C28E-3E70-891B-73B783189394]@0xffffff800ce2c000->0xffffff800ce53fff Process name corresponding to current thread: kernel_task Boot args: -v Mac OS version: 20C69 Kernel version: Darwin Kernel Version 20.2.0: Wed Dec 2 20:39:59 PST 2020; root:xnu-7195.60.75~1/RELEASE_X86_64 Kernel UUID: 82E2050C-5936-3D24-AD3B-EC4EC5C09E11 KernelCache slide: 0x000000000a200000 KernelCache base: 0xffffff800a400000 Kernel slide: 0x000000000a210000 Kernel text base: 0xffffff800a410000 __HIB text base: 0xffffff800a300000 System model name: MacPro7,1 (Mac-27AD2F918AE68F61) System shutdown begun: NO Panic diags file available: YES (0x0) Hibernation exit count: 0 System uptime in nanoseconds: 150429446082300 Last Sleep: absolute base_tsc base_nano Uptime : 0x000088d095b292d9 Sleep : 0x0000000000000000 0x0000000000000000 0x0000000000000000 Wake : 0x0000000000000000 0x000000320ceaf1b6 0x0000000000000000
  3. please get one and sell it to me @ MSRP 😛 thanks a lot for this video. I would try from now on to upgrade on my own, before bugging you people 😄
  4. there still doesn't seem to be a working driver for these GPUs in Big Sur, so we could wait. Though the way things have been going, it seems there'd be a shortage till sometime Q1 2021
  5. will upgrading to OC 0.6.4 possible with the existing config.plist for OC 0.6.3 you generously provided?
  6. Is there someone who uses Julia? On my MacBook Pro, the Julia libraries install and test successfully, while on the hackintosh, there are a lotta problems. Even if it’s not Julia, it is similar a case for Python too - but those were forced to compile with openBLAS (previously they assumed MKL). I suspect it’s the same problem here. I Googled to try forcing Julia and any libraries to use openBLAS but there still are problems..
  7. I would like to thank everyone for their awesome effort in bringing macOS to TRX40 platform, especially @fabiosun @Ploddles @iGPU. Regarding the EFI, I shamelessly use @Ploddles as they are (our systems are virtually identical)..
  8. So while I don’t think I would be able to source a RX 6800 XT or RX 6900 XT in three weeks, but is there a driver for these GPUs in Big Sur?
  9. I just checked the config.plist on my EFI folder, and the setting of SecurebootModel is indeed Disabled, still the onboard WiFi isn't working. Is there any other setting for that?
  10. @Ploddles what is the setting to enable the WiFi built into the Gigabyte's motherboard to work in Big Sur in your config.plist? Sorry I forgot..
  11. Looking at the presentation today, Apple claims that Big Sir is supposed to be significantly faster (at launching apps, switching between them, performance wise etc.) than Catalina. Have you observed this on your hack/MBP? P.S. when the update to Big Sur arrives, it should go through seamlessly using your EFI, right?
  12. I looked at it before posting here. MKL won't install at all. The installer just fades away when clicked on. I think the DUBUG mode was discontinued in the previous builds (probably due to this notoriety?)..
  13. is there any one here who uses products that on the backend use Intel's MKL, like numpy, MATLAB etc.? If so, can you please tell me how did you manage to get them to work, as I can not install Intel's MKL library yet - and openBLAS while works perfectly fine, is there a way to configure numpy etc. to use openBLAS instead of MKL? Of course if MKL works, then no need to openBLAS..
  14. Thanks @meina222 @fabiosun @Ploddles. It works now after setting the PlatformInfo -> Automatic to No 🙂 There is a crazy thing though, as noted previously by @Ploddles too, that Kext Updater, and Hackintool both still detect the version of OC to be 0.6.1, but that is fine by me. The files really have been updated to 0.6.3.
  15. @Ploddles @meina222 this is the message it gives at boot. It was giving this message when I did exactly what @meina222 said about the upgrading procedure - simply updating the files from the OC 0.6.3. @Ploddles this error still comes up after replacing my EFI with yours.. config.plist.zip
  16. I have leeched on @Ploddles so much that I feel shy asking for any more EFIs. I tried updating, but it gives me some error message at startup. Will you please share your config.plist file for 0.6.3?
