Yes I did. It won’t format. I had gotten the same drive a while ago under Monterey and it was the same problem then too. Though the drive works perfectly in Linux (also did previously), so it’s a macOS or hackintosh thing it seems. Other people have reported the same..

Does anyone use a PCIe 5 SSD here? I am trying to get macOS installed on a T700 but it is not stable. Even formatting a new drive to APFS using disk utility leads to system restarting. I boot from the USB and format using terminal, not even disk utility from it either. I’ve updated NVMEFix (and all other kexts too), but to no avail..

I have an add-in PCIe card. I can remove the two m.2 ssds connected to the chipset and install in the add-in card instead..

Was this problem ever solved? I just populated all of the m.2 ports on my machine, and occasionally it won’t boot, or boot to black screen, or restart midway. Though once it gets to desktop, things are solid. also I added a second GPU (7900XTX)..

I used this kext itself to enable wifi on my system. Airdrop uses bluetooth, and bluetooth works with things like my trackpad and keyboard, but airdrop doesn't. Also, I noticed messages and FaceTime aren't working either...

Is there anyone whose Airdrop stopped working after Sonoma update, even though Bluetooth works fine..

for me using the latest beta kexts of Bluetoolfixup and AirportItlwm, which support Sonoma, both wifi and bluetooth are working now

while trying to download Sonoma, it says "The update cannot be installed on this computer". Previously when I would get an error like that (but not exactly this perhaps), I would disable BlueToolFixup kext, and the update would go through. Please help...

Has anyone booted Sonoma (beta / RC) on TRX40 yet?

I already have had this argument in the boot-args. But there have been times at random when the OS shall boot all the way to a black screen. I read up online that removing all debug arguments should solve this issue. I followed it, and it seems the issue has been resolved, but who knows might resurface. Thanks anyways

thanks for the reply, and your EFI. Did you ever face a boot to black screen issue?

the problem actually returned (so it never went away in the first place) 😞 Previously I had the macOS installed on the SK Hynix's P41. So I took out all the drives, and just let the P41 stay, and did a fresh installation of macOS. Still the same problem. So I doubt it's the other drives. Please help me!

thank you. It seems enabling the nvme fix kext did the trick. I had it in the kext folder, but in the config.plist it was not enabled for some reason 🙂

I have just added SSDs, now filling up all the M.2 slots on the motherboard. I just removed the said section from the config.plist. It's still the same, the system while booting restarts midway several times, and I have once booted to black screen..

thanks. I updated the bluetoolfixup kext, and disabled the AppleIGB (I don't use the wired ethernet anyway). The system restarted once midway during boot.. I am not sure about device properties for the GPU. Should I remove these and see if the system becomes more stable?

hello everyone, recently, my system got unstable in the sense that many a times when rebooting, it would randomly reboot midway, or boot to a black screen. Many restarts are required to get to desktop. It is almost like a matter of chance that the system shall boot to a normal working state. Kindly someone help me with it. I am on 13.5 https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1M1zw1HAjTuTBfkEV5p6oKnw9HwxZKnaW?usp=share_link Thanks a lot.

@Ploddles thanks for telling me. I’d wait for it to get working before I try on my machine. It’s my work machine anyway, so I would want it to be stable… @fabiosun right. I use a USB adapter anyway, but it’d be good to get the onboard one to work too for Apple’s techs that use WiFi

I have tried to update my system to 13.3.1 from 13.3. I am downloading the "small" update 584.7MB, and it is not reverting to the "big" update, which then leads to finishing update. Can you please tell me how did you update it? I thought I patched the RestrictedEvents kext to fix it, but clearly I have not.
