Yes, the block remains consistent despite my attempts to install macOS using three different USB drives. Even when I attempted to use the EFI from my Dell workstation, the installation of macOS was still blocked. That is very weird. I have no idea and what's wrong with this Asus motherboard.

@backinblackx86 I am using the latest bios version 0701 (2024/1/18).

@Jerry-agi do not think you have problem with your bios

it is hard to debug your problem because system hangs in initial early stage

i have tested different things in my tries with you

MMIO, and also a solution which bypass MMIO configuration, your system hangs in the same way with all tries done

 

I would double check all your bios option (serial port must be always disabled)

Sage board are great but as in the past with ASUS X299 Sage..they are a bit more complex to hack

Thank you for your suggestion. Yes, I have checked very carefully with the BIOS (serial port is always disabled). I tried to use another EFI folder (successfully installed on a Dell workstation and AMD SER5), but it seems to be blocked from booting to install without any reason. Please let me know if you have any new ideas to fix this issue. Thank you!

one only advice more of previosly given

if you change bios option (asus sage bios) check always MMIO debug file to see if some MMIO area is changed

Thank you for your EFI file, but it is still stuck as before. I found that the secure boot mode only has two options: Standard and Custom (tried disabling both of them), and there is no option to disable secure boot mode like on another motherboard. Do you think this is the main issue? If yes, how could I define a custom user secure boot.

Yes, I just try to enable legacy USB support, but there is nothing change.

Try to create a usb with efi and recovery.

perhaps an old usb 2.0 disk will work. That is what I initially used for the efi

"Custom" is your key to disabling Secure Boot.

 

PS. In my experience with Xeons, serial ports are no issue at all. macOS is happy to boot with them, and to display "Serial" among networking possibilities. (I haven't dug up my 33.6k modem to check whether they actually work.)

@etorixall commons guide say to disabele those ports

we have problem with this rig , so we have to try to start from basic indication to understand why this early hang happens 😉

Yes, I have tried to create a new USB with recovery and new EFI. But, it is not working too.

Indeed, I used one of a USB 2.0 to create a macOS installation, but it seems that nothing has changed.

I have tried using Clover EFI, but it is not lucky and stops at the same point.
