  1. The system continues to function well. I recently enabled iServices as well as Airdrop with a Broadcom Wifi/BT pci-e card.
  2. yes, find a SATA disc if you can. Are you in USA? I am in Ny. Perhaps a windows port mapping is meeded? https://github.com/USBToolBox/tool
  3. yes, to confirm, are you trying to boot a cloned, pre-made, installation with recovery or full installer? via nvme? have you tried a sata ssd? usb?
  4. kind of think of it, my MsI B550 5900x build has a similar symptom as this ASUS, it hangs at the same exact point where it won’t boot Monterey, yet Sonoma and Ventura are fine. Could it be a similar cause. Have you tried older OS?
  5. CaseySJ over at amd-osx said “Have all the usual factors been checked, such as: CFG-Lock — this is usually not a problem on AMD, but we can always compensate by enabling Kernel quirks AppleCpuPmCfgLock and AppleXcfmCfgLock It is also possible that OpenRuntime.efi is not able to find/calculate slide value”
  6. wow great score…makes me think I should have saved up for a 7970x… I came across a Reddit post of a user having trouble with their Asus…perhaps related? They mentioned a USB firmware update from ASUS that can only be done from Windows. The ASUS support page: https://www.asus.com/motherboards-components/motherboards/workstation/pro-ws-trx50-sage-wifi/helpdesk_bios?model2Name=Pro-WS-TRX50-SAGE-WIFI conveniently mentions that we need to run some ".exe" file to update USB firmware.
  7. perhaps an old usb 2.0 disk will work. That is what I initially used for the efi
  8. my gigabyte board uefi bios is cool, your asus looks 2000’s disable audio, and the sata devices, anything not currently needed
  9. are you trying to install Sonoma? I recall having to change the OpenCore secureboot flag for 14.4.1…Ventura was my initial boot. disabled wifi7, ethernet, slimsas, anything else…does the 6950 need to be spoofed as well? Fabiosun and lorys89 know how to troubleshoot this…listen to them….how could my gigabyte be compatible and not the ASUs
  10. well the difference between us is the GPU is the 6950, the Motherboard brand, and the cpu core count…my board has thunderbolt…let me look up the specs of this ASUS
  11. well this is exiting…makes me want to collect the other TrX50 boards I cannot specifically recall what we did…I have to re-read our notes.
