I recently built a new PC with specs similar to yours: an AMD Ryzen Threadripper 7970x, ASUS Pro WS TRX50 Sage WiFi motherboard, 128GB of DDR5 RAM, and an AMD RX6950XT GPU. I'm interested in installing MacOS on this system. I've attempted to follow your EFI installation guide, but unfortunately, it hasn't been successful. I've also exported the Mmiowhitelist as per your instructions in your post, but the system seems to be stuck at the initial boot stage. I would greatly appreciate your advice on resolving these issues. Thank you very much.

have you modified AMD kernel patches core numbers accordly to your cpu core numbers?

Yes, I have modified the CPU core number in the Kernel patch. I tried to install many times, but it remains stuck at the beginning of boot. I also have successfully installed macOS Sonoma on another Dell workstation T7910, but this is my first experience with a new AMD CPU for hackintosh. I would greatly appreciate your assistance in installing macOS on this PC.

try to modify the EFI posted above (core counts and MMIO)

config plist say false but log say skip 1 for latest MMIO Area

later i could modify for you posted EFI (from me to other users)

but if you can try to adapt it for your system (mmio and cores count)

Sorry, I forgot to inform you that all the MmioWhitelist were set to TRUE when debugging for the opencore.txt file. However, this caused the system to no longer boot. Subsequently, I tried to disable the latest Mmio following the EFI folder provided by @backinblackx86, but it is still stuck at the same point.

Yes, I also made changes in the Bios:

- Above 4G Decoding: on

- XHCI Hand-off: on

- UEFI: on

- Legacy USB-Support: off

- CSM support: off

- Secure Boot: off

- SATA Mode: AHCI

usb with full installer or usb with  recovery?

Try to change usb port to install

If it doesn’t work disable for now aquantia Ethernet and WiFi from your bios

well the difference between us is the GPU is the 6950, the Motherboard brand, and the cpu core count…my board has thunderbolt…let me look up the specs of this ASUS

are you trying to install Sonoma? I recall having to change the OpenCore secureboot flag for 14.4.1…Ventura was my initial boot.

 

disabled wifi7, ethernet, slimsas, anything else…does the 6950 need to be spoofed as well?

Fabiosun and lorys89 know how to troubleshoot this…listen to them….how could my gigabyte be compatible and not the ASUs

Thank you for the information. Yes, I have disabled Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and other settings from BIOS. Additionally, I have successfully spoofed the 6950XT on my Dell workstation (which works well with Sonoma 14.4).

No, an NVME drive includes the macOS Sonoma icon, which was installed from my Dell workstation. However, I plan to format and reinstall a new one on this PC (AMD cpu). Sorry, I forgot to mention that to you.
