Do the tests by starting USB Installer

Hi @Lorys89,

Yes, I have booted to install using the USB installer. It seems the MmioWhitelist doesn’t affect the EFI boot. I tried disabling them one by one from Mmio, but there was no change.

@Jerry-agmmio job is tricky

you have to try multiple combinations

if you have 10 mmio area combinations are

1*2*3*4 and so on to threat like factorial numbers

Hi @fabiosun,

Thanks for your hints. Yes, I have tried to disable and enable something from Mmiowhitelist, but I am not clear on what it means. For instance, you disabled everything except one in your config.plist file. I also tried EFI files from @Lorys89, which modified something in mmio. But it seems the mmio does not affect the boot.

this is an example to follow to debug your mmio (if the problems is there)

then you have to combine all others in multible combinations you can try

usually 10 MMIO area means 10! combinations = 3 628 800 combination 🙂

it could be enough to check only one a time (on/off)

Hello @all,

I tested the most recent OC version, but it's still stuck during the macOS installation. Any advice on resolving this problem would be highly appreciated. Thank you!

has this project been abandoned or succeeded already?

@Jaidy

I updated latest OpenCore (v1.0.1), along with Lilu.kext and VirtualSMC.kext, but the macOS installation still hangs at the start. I would appreciate any suggestions to resolve this issue. Thank you!

unfortunately my expertise is zero. I guess the best thing to do would be to swap the motherboard with the Gigabyte one which has been successfully hackintoshed by @backinblackx86

Thank you for your suggestion, but I would not switch to a Gigabyte motherboard.

My Gigabyte Trx50 AeroD is still running strong, months of uptime and never a hiccup. I have not updated past 14.4.1, however.

@backinblackx86 That sounds good, but the Asus Pro WS TRX50 motherboard seems difficult for a Hackintosh.

i would disable all things you can in sage bios (wifi / bt audio , ethernet all)

and see if the hang is always the same

@fabiosun Yes, I've disabled the settings as you suggested, but it's still hanging at the same point. I'm not sure how to resolve this issue and would appreciate any suggestions you might have for installing macOS on this Asus motherboard. Thank you!

I am afraid to say we have tried many things and in our forum we often solved impossible problem

so as extreme and desperate try, when you have time  post all (very all) bios settings

maybe somethings hidden could be found there

no many usera here with trx50 platform and only one has it working
