Alessandro or Gengik84, what's your opinion?

If that's a bootloader issue, nothing can yet be done to overcome that.

Acidanthera team already tries to make the best out of his own efforts, but unfortunately icelake laptops are still unsupported, especially this one at the title of the topic - other people at insanelymac.com managed to boot but iGPU drivers were missing, so we need to ping them if anything is changed.

When I'll have some time, I'll try to remove the SSD, but I have to be careful with the warranty policies about that.

At this point in time I'm not using that laptop since I got used to Linux/macOS, and I had many issues with Linux as well, such as:

-trackpad not recognized by linux kernel

-audio not working in kernel version 5.5.0 and above (only on v5.4.0 I have onboard audio and microphone working)

-IRQ problem on boot, check the solution/workaround here

Many things can be understood from responses like these

1) https://github.com/acidanthera/bugtracker/issues/832#issuecomment-615248243

This guy down here "said" that he managed to boot on insanelymac.com also, they deleted the page https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/343549-ice-lake-success-to-install-macos-with-opencore-but/

this is his attempt to contact acidanthera about that

I saw that, and I didn't understood why he deleted the page, I told myself that is possible some theory of conspiration  haunting their heads. More than that I've noticed a totally silence regarding the subject and I asked myself "what is happening bro?"

But the most astonishing thing is that acidanthera treats Ice Lake cpus and the related chipset, maybe intel 495 (officially adopted by apple) as if they were AMD, or Z390 boards (not officially supported)

And also, they're not planning to even support that in the near future: I encourage you to use linux there

I took a look on your efi folder and you don't have a patched DSDT for battery management so the ACPIBatteryMangement.kext is useless, you can remove it from kext folder. You may also remove the AirportBrcmFixUp.kext unless you have replaced your wifi card with a Broadcom one. Also AppleBacklightFixup.kext is useless without a pnlf device. All of them may be used after a succesfull  clean installation (postinstall).

I told myself the same thing. I've just ordered a new Western  Digital SN750 black SSD and a new SSD adapter m2 ngff nvme to USB.

I tried the usb installer with your efi but the outcome was the same.

So, in a few days we'll have the answer.
