I would like also to add that in a Windows VM (Proxmox) audio is also perfect I can pass it via entire controller or as a single USB device from web interface perfect. Problem is (I repeat my self) driver in HighSierra (maybe too old for our new hardware)

Hi @iGPU in High Sierra problem is USB driver I can't see any USB3 device connected.. I have also a VM with "only" 32threads set..Problem is the same I have tested roughly in the same way with Unraid..same problem Catalina is perfect instead ( I have only problem I said with jack detection) but ie my cheap USB audio is perfect also with speaker connected @ cold boot

Other.zip dopo aver verificato se la Vram ti funziona o anche prima..riprova i due config che ti allego insieme a questa cartella other Da sostituire alla tua completamente (mantieni la vecchia da qualche parte) io credo che il problema sia il driver non installato correttamente Archive.zip non usare inject Nvidia

prova prima con 1config.zip poi l'altro sempre se hai reinstallato il driver senza errori 😉

se non e' buona non la installa ma devi controllare come stai messo in privacy , in sip e se ti apre un popup chiedendo di sbloccare un accesso del driver...

config.plist.zip prova questo config sostituisci al tuo tanto per capire

se usi clover configurator vedi in system parameter... (per il web driver) vedo anche un sacco di patch per nvme..che forse non servono più' oltre a quelle del kernel... se stai installando sierra 10.13.6 con un clover mediamente recente

nel config non hai attivato i web driver come mi pare ti fosse stato suggerito poi vedo delle patch al kernel and un fake cpuid che forse con gli ultimi clover non sono necessari e non vedo nemmeno whatevergreen....

che significa kext drop? dove li hai messi questi kext? Spiega in dettaglio che se il casino non e' immenso forse e' meglio non formattare

se funzionava e se hai messo solo (non te li virgoletto se ti disturba) kext a caso (cosa che all'inizio facciamo tutti, c'e altro che non va.. quindi specifica meglio da quando ti partiva cosa hai fatto

se hai "solo" aggiunto kext a caso puoi provare a premere spazio quando sei nel menu di Clover e disabilitare i kext che hai aggiunto

a request: for people using proxmox in dual GPU rig, if possible put here your BIOS config useful to boot with Proxmox (CSM/UEFI/4g and so on).. And also to summarise which problem you have had (if you had) to start with proxmox in this condition (dual GPU inserted) Thank you

USB audio is a big problem in HighSierra, in Catalina 10.15.5 and greater is working fine (for me only audio Jack detection problem) but I can solve it easily I am searching for a pcie card to test (like also sounblaster or similar) because I will stay in HighSierra for a bit I do not know if similar PCIE cards are supported by OSX..and if I can bypass with it audio USB problem In Catalina, internal audio and also USB audio uses internal OSX Kext no need of any additional kext like AppleALC or VoodHDA. ps for me your PCIe card is too much 🙂

by the way @Driftwooddo you know a PCIE Audio card supported in HighSierra? I would like to test because in this OS audio is working well only via DP port (GPU Audio)
