  2. @meina222I have re done all from scratch but I have errors: if you have others idea to test I will do
  3. I mean you use an OpenCore.iso to try to install How do you produce this? you can try to download one with VM assistant app you can find in download area this will allow you to see a verbose a not only Apple logo in this way it will be possible to unsderstand better in your VM I can't see any usb device passed, so you shouldn't have a mouse and a keyboard also if you pass your initial hang
  4. hi @mclarenf1if you have 64 Gb of ram you have to put less in your vm config then if you want put your EFI without apple folder which are you using to boot ah also your cores number seems weird you have a 24+24 cpu so you can use 48 or you can use sockets=2 by the way some 3960x users said they can't pass in socket 1 and 48 their CPU and they have had to do different combination with cores and sockets number but..if you see apple logo..you are a step on 🙂
  8. @Driftwoodreading about an old Asrock TRX40 creator (1.40 release) in their improvement description they said better support for thunderbolt card (or similar) Then they have changed with actual description.. 🙂 @meina222 cloning by now..I have had only this error following your steps: but cloning is on by now
  9. Hi @meina222thank you for previous link i will try as soon I can i would like to suggest to insert in your read me also revert method to older kernel you posted here only in a worst case People have to revert Also I would like to ask if in a clean and initial proxmox installation your script downloads all dependencies we need to build new kernel Thank you again for your help To improve our discussion
  10. vabbe' che sei stato tratto in inganno..ma 2 gb li hai di eprom del bios a momenti 😛
  11. a little update: V23 flashed firmware allows to see my Titan ridge on windows in all PCIE slot I put it (tested on 4 and 2) Linux does not see it in slot 2 Only in slot 4 I can see and pass two pcidevice (TB and USB) with the help of @Gengik84I am trying a new way to proceed DSDT way 🙂
  12. Thank you @meina222 i will try to test high Sierra with Big Sur ssd detached in the past hours 5.8 is working fine again no simple to debug where is my problem but for now it is working well
  13. @meina222usually I copy new kernel deb files in proxmox root then from shell I execute command to install dkpg -I *.deb i have different kernel installed from 5.34 because it is an old proxmox installation
  14. @mclarenf1 which tutorial have you followed? if you have followed guide here you have Apple logo only after first installation steps passed opencore efi we propose has verbose mode active check well all steps you do to prepare installation it needs few minutes of a bit of attention👍
  15. weird thing I can't see in this list but I see when Proxmox starts that is loaded
  16. @meina222do not worry I appreciate your work and if I was so safe with my rig..we have not a public solution for trx40 and OSX 🙂 Again thank you for your kernel I have few skill to understand where my system now is failing with it
  17. maybe I mess my high Sierra disk in some way..I am now on 5.7.8 and I have not weird instant reboot I will try again to start with latest kernel because I know probably is a my own problem 🙂 by the way..I have never seen instant reboot in this rig..today about five times..only surfing with safari 🙂
  18. @all I am trying to revert to old kernel version because I have seen a sort of instability I am not able to debug Yesterday I have had a perfect day working with @meina222 compiled 5.8 kernel today I have installed Big Sur beta 4 in a ssd disk I connect on an external data box after that my high Sierra became unstable no clue if there is a relation for now I can't reverse old kernel with method I use the very weird thing is that in Catalina and in big Sur I have no problem in High Sierra my 2 ten TB drive (exfat) are seen after some minutes..and some times system reboots itself
  19. Beta 4 is here. I have also installed Nvidia driver (patched) to have dual display and a minimal functionality on display graphics as I have had in Mojave or in Catalina Installation notes Same open core 060 latest release debug version with all kext and drivers updated During first installation step I have used old Penryn args for VM config
  20. @tsongzin these preliminary steps of your learning curve, I will suggest to understand well which parameters in vfio.conf and in blacklist.conf inhibit your system to a proper use of shell in host During tests, adding cards or moving it or only change some parameters in vm could produce problem to access to host from other pc So our safe (without reinstalling all or unmounting/mounting spare gfx card is the chance to be able to modify things via shell another matter for me is to understand why you block all that stuff and what kind of advantages you get from this type of configuration, with you I mean most of you who in part followed my guide 🙂
  21. Post your vfio.conf also lspci -nnk but i think if you followed pavos github you block things he is blocking because he starts or started in the past his guest from web interface on another pc i can be wrong...
  22. I think he is blocking to much stuff it is also in Proxmox wiki..but we can do in a different way 🙂
  23. I am using only my guest to use my thread ripper machine Sometimes during my "bleeding edge test" I have problem and I have to use a spare pc to solve normally I turn on my thread ripper and when shell is available I execute from it qm start 100 to start my main VM when I have used to add in vfio.conf my GPU or to blacklist nouveau or Nvidia drivers.. my system to boot needs of a spare pc or an automatic vm 100 booting option enable you can see it in macos86.it you tube channel 🙂 check framed window..there only 2 verbose initial lines and then vm starts in automatic way in big window no block are there and I see regular verbose and shell
  24. remove it from vfio.conf also you can try to unblacklist amdgpu from blacklist.conf in my rig I do not use any block and it works
