config.plist.zip vedi se fa un passo avanti il bios come lo hai configurato? hai nella sezione CPU qualcosa di relativo a MSR lock?

prova a disabilitare DevirtualizeMMIO e indica con un link quello che hai seguito Non si muove per niente in pratica dalla scelta del sistema

posso chiedere come hai creato la EFi soprattutto per la parte quirks?

Ciao avevi postato in guide se ti e' possibile metti il tuo hardware in firma cosi' e' possibile capire meglio E' un problema che abbiamo avuto tutti dovresti risolverlo utilizzano un opencore aggiornato ed la voce SecureBootModel in Default ma ci sono anche altre possibili soluzioni

per me si, anche se ho zero fiducia del dev attuale e del parco betatester dicono sempre it works...e non chiudono le falle segnalate da mesi cmq meglio avere la scelta e anche se non sicura come funzionalità, poter scegliere al boot le opzioni o anche un config completo..e' una cosa positiva se ti piace fare tante prove OpenCore e' piu' sicuro ma anche molto piu' chiuso ad errori utente 🙂

@antuneddu tu che sei attivo anche su Insanelymac..si dovrebbe dire al dev di attivare anche il quirk per il resize bar..altrimenti clover non parte piu' se si attiva la corrispondente opzione nel bios 🙂

@23d1more performance If you use real cores till the OSX limit but there you are alone without any comparative with others so to see if TDP and frequency change as they change for us..try to simulate a real 3970x OSX will not support for now more then 64 c/t we will see in a near future MMIO could be 4g on or off but usually it is related to first two of the list if you can open a thread in this forum and I will move there all these tests and we can go on there a keep this thread more generic.. I would very pleased to help also for a my personal goal to understand this problem

I would try as a real 3970x so 32 + 32 then it should be better (for performance) 64+0 but try 32 +32 as all of us to have a correct comparison then solve also your MMIO problem do not mix stuff from VM or bare metal keep them separate 🙂

difference in windows is so high with 32+32 cores+ threads? or with your default 64 +64? 44000 it fine if you use 32+32 but I would like to see a jumping frequency and a higher TDP

Stai usando un valore piu' vecchio di quello corretto ma non e' grave dovrebbe partire ugualmente puoi calcolarti quello corretto con varie utilità scaricando anche clover configurator ultimo dovrebbe darti il valore corretto altrimenti ricopi quello proposto nel tuo config sezione SMBIOS

do you use this kext SMCAMDProcessor.kext for Istat menus? try to test to disable it

it should be also unrelated for your CPU stepping problem take note if you change bios or only some bios option like 4g MMIO list could change

@23d1is that the previous you posted? are you sure Do you have only a booting EFI in your system ? I have downloaded again it and it is on true If you used @DriftwoodEFI he has that quirk on /yes/true

in this you have it enabled

great advice I see many of you (ASRock creator users) use this quirk But, if it not useful for you you should avoid that quirk

@valmeida reset nvram and start with this config I would download again installer if you can config.plist.zip

No more idea @valmeida it should be a corrupted installation pkg but I can’t say this for sure
