this was your previous working EFi updated with new patches and Ppencore stuff

try it and post photo of your hang and debug txt

it should also work with your Big Sur installation

your opencore debug txt is weird in one MMIO (it is correct in your config..but it gives skip 0 on debug txt

You do not have to change any bios parameter in your motherboard till a solution is found to boot again

I used a limited set of kext for now (no wifi/BT and ethernet) in Ventura and in Monterey ethernet could be a pain for many trx40 users

Cosmin EFI Asus ROG Strix TRX40 E-Gamming.zip 5.04 MB · 2 downloads

have you added NVME disk in your previous working rig?

I correct the MMIO values. Debug and photo attached. Thanks.

My previous rig (Big Sur) doesn't have NVMEfix.kext...

I always reset Nvram before trying with modified EFI...

My MMIO is changing indeed, and I don't know why, my BIOS is untouched (by me), and entire hardware configuration stays unchanged...

Are you sure you are booting always from the same EFI?

if conditions are as you say MMIO must not change

in your BIOS 4g and resize bar are on or OFF?

Uefi ON?

And so on...other parameters are as usual they must be?

4g and resize bar are both ON

UEFI is on... all other parameters are correct (from Dortania guide)

I  try to start from scratch with Dortania with OC 0.8.5 debug, and then put MMIO and ACPI files from working BigSur EFI...

Leave Dortania guide 🙂

So do you have now a working EFI in Big Sur?

I f so we have to modify it in a debug version and see if BigSur boots fine

then check MMIO and Update your (probably old kernel patches)

Yes, I have a working EFI for BigSur. Here it is - attached...removed big kexts for space reason, but all files showed in screenshot

And I suppose I must remove all kexts incompatible with Ventura...

in this EFI you have 3 ethernet kext

could you try to boot with this config always in BigSur?

config.plist.zip 6.47 kB · 1 download

do you know which OpenCore version is in this EFI?

thank you

I successfully boot with your config, but ethernet doesnt' work

I don't remember what OC version is, sorry...

I have disabled all lan kext

in Monterey and Ventura, only one of these ethernet will work

RTL8125 ones

upload on mega or we transfer your fully and working and updated EFI (completed of all kexts)

then I will try to see how to have it working in Ventura

but no i211At ethernet works in Monterey or Ventura

Here it is the fully updated and working EFI, now ethernet works (realtek).

Should I try to update to Ventura, or install from external USB (with erase the BigSur disk, and so on) ?

are you able to correct by yourself this MMIO in bold character style?

I would try to update from Big Sur, if you can recover some errors could happen!

no it is wrong @Cosmin Batica

you have to have them enabled and then check if MMI in debug are properly seen with skip 1

sorry I have no checked there 😉

put them on true and check again MMIO debug list

if they are always in skip 0 we have to calculate better their addresses
