In boot menu do you see macOS installer icon?
you should boot from there a couple of times and then it trasforma it’s name as your disk was named
Yes, I choose MacOS Installer... but I already let it reboots at least 8 times.....

Yes, just a sec please

Yes you do not need with 6900xt and MacPro 7.1 smbios
Disconnect your Ethernet cable if it is rebooting continuously
I already try with ethernet cable unplugged, same result.... reboot....

I saw that you disabled whatevergreen kext and delete agdmod=ignore from boot-args. Is it ok?

ok now they are perfect
try to update your Venura without touching or adding kexts
if system hangs disconnect also your rtl 8125 ethernet cable
Doesn't work, during first installation stage from first reboot it reboots continuously.... the the attached debug file....
34 minutes ago, fabiosun said:no it is wrong @Cosmin Batica
you have to have them enabled and then check if MMI in debug are properly seen with skip 1
sorry I have no checked there 😉
put them on true and check again MMIO debug list
if they are always in skip 0 we have to calculate better their addresses
Ok, now they seems all in skip 1 in MMIO debug list...

it is not mandatory to have Ventura working well but it could help to have others features working well
are you able to correct by yourself this mmil in bold character style?
Yes, I put disable when skip 0, see image

try this before in big sur and post debug txt
it should also work in Ventura!
It boots in BigSur, attached is debug file
opencore-2022-11-03-120508.txt.zip
Just now, Cosmin Batica said:It boots in BigSur, attached is debug file
Should I try to update to Ventura, or install from external USB (with erase the BigSur disk, and so on) ?

I have disabled all lan kext
in Monterey and Ventura, only one of these ethernet will work
RTL8125 ones
upload on mega or we transfer your fully and working and updated EFI (completed of all kexts)
then I will try to see how to have it working in Ventura
but no i211At ethernet works in Monterey or Ventura
Here it is the fully updated and working EFI, now ethernet works (realtek).
Thanks

fix pat is not needed for you (for all trx40 users)
in this EFI you have 3 ethernet kext
could you try to boot with this config always in BigSur?
config.plist.zip 6.47 kB · 1 download
do you know which OpenCore version is in this EFI?
thank you
I successfully boot with your config, but ethernet doesnt' work
I don't remember what OC version is, sorry...

Leave Dortania guide 🙂
So do you have now a working EFI in Big Sur?
I f so we have to modify it in a debug version and see if BigSur boots fine
then check MMIO and Update your (probably old kernel patches)
Yes, I have a working EFI for BigSur. Here it is - attached...removed big kexts for space reason, but all files showed in screenshot
And I suppose I must remove all kexts incompatible with Ventura...

Are you sure you are booting always from the same EFI?
if conditions are as you say MMIO must not change
in your BIOS 4g and resize bar are on or OFF?
Uefi ON?
And so on...other parameters are as usual they must be?
4g and resize bar are both ON
UEFI is on... all other parameters are correct (from Dortania guide)
I try to start from scratch with Dortania with OC 0.8.5 debug, and then put MMIO and ACPI files from working BigSur EFI...

here if you have used my archive , zip try in the boot menu to reset Nvram
and we have to understand why your MMIO change (if you do not touch bios or you do not add any M2 drive while we are trying things)
I always reset Nvram before trying with modified EFI...
My MMIO is changing indeed, and I don't know why, my BIOS is untouched (by me), and entire hardware configuration stays unchanged...

if my previous updated EFi produces this same error
try to add SSDT-EC in your ACPI folder and overwrite your config .plist with attached one
Different error now

this was your previous working EFi updated with new patches and Ppencore stuff
try it and post photo of your hang and debug txt
it should also work with your Big Sur installation
your opencore debug txt is weird in one MMIO (it is correct in your config..but it gives skip 0 on debug txt
You do not have to change any bios parameter in your motherboard till a solution is found to boot again
I used a limited set of kext for now (no wifi/BT and ethernet) in Ventura and in Monterey ethernet could be a pain for many trx40 users

have you added NVME disk in your previous working rig?
I correct the MMIO values. Debug and photo attached. Thanks.
My previous rig (Big Sur) doesn't have NVMEfix.kext...

could you post a photo before it reboots (adding -V in your bootarg)
have you tried to install with Ethernet cable disconnected?
This efi boots with previous Os in your pc?
Yes, I will post a photo right now. I tried with ethernet disconnected, the same result.
I doesn't try to boot actual Big Sur installation with this EFI... Update: it doesn't boot.

Hello,
I'm trying to install Ventura for a couple of days until now, and it reboots itself after a while. What am I doing wrong?
I attach my EFI and log file - OC 0.8.5 debug version.
Thanks

ciao
I have downloaded it from AMD OSX
if you are happy...but MMIO are few and I think you can give to your system others...
then alcid=1??
why?
🙂
@fabiosun tbh, this is the first time I deal with MMIO, so, I follow the guide from @iGPU, and choose only lines where values = 0 as he said...
What can be others ?
alcid=1 remains from @AudioGod's EFI

@Cosmin Baticahappy for your success
if you can
post your config.plist without your smbios datas
it could be helpful for others with your same motherboard!
thank you
Of course :)

Yes
i have no more ideas for now
tomorrow I will try to simplify better this Efi
Already succeeded!I use an EFI from @AudioGod with my own serial, mlb etc and I find and write custom MMIO WhiteList entries using a debug EFI from @fabiosunand an excellent tutorial from @iGPU
