Hello, Well I'm using dual GPU and I can only get Proxmox to start the install only if i have one GPU powered on. If i have both i get the error on the screen shot https://www.dropbox.com/s/4msapm2n9glrh3g/20200603_130312.jpg?dl=0 I tried many bird option. Turn CSM off and on. Disabling enabling 4G also. Launch OXE Oprom is set to UEFI only Launch Storage OpRom is UEFI also. But what i did notice after install ProxM with one GPU. And then rebooting and loading the drive that Prox was install on. It booted up fine. It just seem the first install will hang. Well that what happen to me. I just wanted to share if anyone in the future has the same issue.

I used Firewire years ago, but after I upgraded my RME converter, it's now no longer an option. Steve Jobs said "Firewire is dead", in 2008, but in your particular case, I believe you should be fine for years to come. RME Driver support is as good as it gets long term, even for older comms technology and dis-continued RME gear. If you happen to live near Perth, Western Australia, I could maybe, with your permission of course, test my newer RME gear on your system, which, if you yourself happen to upgrade in the future, would also be beneficial in giving you peace of mind. But myself, being located in one of the most isolated parts of the world, I'd hazard a guess the chances of living close by is nil. 😂 If someone else on the thread does live close by, with an up and running Proxmox Hackintosh, and wants to experiment with the audio capability, it will expand the knowledge base. Thus PM anytime. 😃 I guess if worse came to worse, maybe, I could install the same Startech Audio card as yourself, and find a firewire to thunderbolt adapter? Firewire 800 should still be able to record about 55 channels of audio at 96khz which is still pretty good considering🤔 Prefer to use MADI though, as I can't daisy chain my 2 converters with thunderbolt/ firewire.😖

A me piace la strada intrapresa da OC, a senso unico, un pacchetto completo, non devi preoccuparti di usare o provare mille altre cose, il pacchetto con il Maker nel mio caso, config e via... Poi tutte cose sviluppate dai medesimi, lo vedo male Clover in futuro con questa concorrenza, lo dico con rammarico. Che poi l'apparente maggiore difficoltà, dettata più che altro dal nuovo, si sta rivelando l'opposto...

Per avere piena compatibilità consiglio di andare su Z370, specialmente Asus. Poi per la CPU puoi scegliere quella che vuoi, fai caso che se scendi di generazione di limiti con la scelta delle CPU, per esempio dicevi un 7th gen - ma ti precluderesti il fatto di fare upgrade in futuro, saresti limitato al massimo su 4C/8T (7700K) Io ho fatto una build simile per uso a casa, ho optato per Asus TUF Z370 Gaming II (160€ su Monclick) i3 8100 (105€ su Amazon) integrata (UHD630) RAM ho preso 16GB a 80 euro, Corsair vegenance Benq da 23,8" eye-care (158€) Bequiet da 500W (67€) Case (50€ circa) Silicon power 250GB SSD (30€) Poi ho ragionato pensando che magari in futuro si potrà mettere un 9700K/9900K quando si vorrà fare qualcosa di più serio come blender, final cut Pro, Resolve, malab, eccetera

Due parole sulla scheda in generale: Se avete intenzione di comprarla, aspettate il calo dei prezzi dopo le feste, i prezzi attuali secondo me sono ancora un tantino alti (€ 230-250). Il prezzo ideale per la versione 8GB è di € 190-200 non di più, viste le prestazioni in linea con Polaris RX570 e RX580. Le cose che rendono appetibile questa scheda sono i consumi e le temperature, la scheda consuma circa 100W in meno rispetto alle Polaris e le temperature di esercizio sotto stress stanno in un range che va dai 65 ai 70 °C. Ricordo che si tratta di una GPU nata per il PCIe 4.0 e che per ora questo standard è presente solo sulle schede madri AMD con chipset X570 e TRX40, quindi se usate su piattaforma Intel avranno un leggerissimo calo di prestazioni in quanto gireranno su PCIe 3.0 (parliamo del 5% di prestazioni in meno, considerabile come irrisorio). Per quanto riguarda MacOS Catalina: Ricordo che questa scheda funziona in maniera nativa dalla versione 10.15.2 in avanti (beta comprese) e si presume che il suo supporto a livello di drivers/kexts migliorerà con le prossime release di Catalina. In questi giorni testerò le prestazioni nell'uso di programmi di editing e fotoritocco per valutarne la bontà in ambito produttivo, le aspettative sono quelle di avere prestazioni pari e superiori alle schede Polaris RX570 e RX580. Si può dire che Navi ha introdotto una buona scelta per hackintosh in ambito GPU, includendo RX5500XT alla squadra RX5700 e 5700XT, ed è molto probabile che nei prossimi mesi arriveranno altre GPU basate su questa architettura (RX5600 - RX5600XT) ad ampliare la lista.
