the future seems more interesting than recent past🥹

TRX40 owners did get shortchanged. The WRX80 at least got 5000 series threadripper pros..

And you're not tempted by the Intel Core i9-14900K? 😉

not so much..with enthusiast CPU problem is they are very HOT and you have to forgot the good time with trx40

In many operation they are beasts but also their temperatures are too much hot

I will wait for new AMD CPU (then next AM5 one I mean..but our main problem is the lack of a serious support for new GPUs

We advance in time, the less support for X86 CPU's will be supported and in terms of GPU's is already underway with the non-support of the new AMD GPU 7000 series by Apple.

This is why I made my decision in view of the performance of the Apple M2 Ultra which is slightly superior in terms of performance compared to my configuration.

I'll move to the other side when the Mac Ultra Studio M3 comes out.

But proud to have built a hack and to have lived the experience. I find that it helps to understand how a computer works.

my expertise are severely limited here, but perhaps enable 4G encoding in BIOS if you haven't already.

Also, may be try this config.plist (perhaps you would have to edit the kext portion..)

@valmeida

Here is my EFi under OpenCore 0.9.7 working perfectly with the Sonoma system.

Be careful as usual to replace the MmioWhiteList etc….

Here is a difference with your motherboard on Gigabytecards, there is the obligation to activate DummyPowerManagement  (Kernel/Emulate/DummyPowerManagement)

Recently I reset my BIOS, and lost some settings that had enabled shutdown instead of restarting immediately after shutting down. Can someone remind me what settings were those?
