my EFI has opencore 065 beta and latest driver and kext if I have not done any error it could work also well in Big Sur as is1 point
-
@eye2eyespy I am pretty sure that EFI works well on three similar system..so problem should be local I have no BT or WIFI hardware..cant test it by myself also bios Update could be an option if you are not scared to do it Shutdown problem is not the best to have 🙂 before to discover MMIO way we have all shutdown a reboot problem..your MMIo are a bit different from mine I can't say for sure they are different cause different bios or different devices in our systems1 point
-
sorry it is a pretty similar config which I use If you can try all things as we said and if it works ok you can stay with that old bios if not you should update to latest one which introduces a new agesa..and probably you have to modify then your MMIO values1 point
-
wait I have done a mistake config.plist 2.zip @eye2eyespy this should be fine1 point
-
config.plist.zip if you want try this config replacing yours and post opencore debug log please do not change any hardware or bios config also see this npci=0x2000 not useful for our board (you have 4G option on bios to set on ON but if you do..your mmio will change 🙂 also alcid=5..why? Internal audio is USB Realtek audio and it is not related to APPLEALC.kext but for now try to boot only changing this config..then we will see 😉1 point

Hi @eye2eyespy I have moved here your thread MSI trx40 pro 10G or WIFI? Could you post your debug log (you need to use an Opencore debug version and put target to 67 (default is 3) Thanks1 point

IMPORTANT Update Added here USB port mapping: https://www.macos86.it/viewtopic.php?p=13032#p13032 X299 Gigabyte Ex (rev.1.0) used in this article is simple to configure in a basic way to have a working Hackintosh. Follow this thread to have a fantastic a "powerful Hackintosh ever" © Steve! 🙂 One big difference you can find here from others guide you can find in the net is I use CSM enabled/disabled . boths setup are fine I have choosen Gigabyte X299 motherboard because, Gigabyte is the only manufacture which gives support to RDIMM ECC (Registered Dimm ECC) disabling ECC as mandatory for Skylake X CPU intel specs With X99 instead was possible to have an Extreme or Xeon CPU and using ram without problem (ECC or not) With new Intel CPU Xeon and Extreme CPu need of a different CPU socket to work Till F3 bios, Gigabyte supports DDR4 not supported by Intel definition and I would like also to know if it is possible to break 128 Gb limit with these motherboards (all gigabyte X299) as stated in Extreme Intel ark specs. I have decided to start my rig always with clover boot loader , if I need to enter in Windows I press exit in boot clover menu and Windows Start For this task it is important to have right order in harddrive priorities in Bios GPT conversion adds an EFI partition on Windows drive which is visible in boot clover menu and, if selected it starts windows This guide does not talk about thunderbolt setup because I have any TB drives or similar. I have also Mojave installed and my SSDT is working the same there High Sierra is useful to patch your actual USB situation because on it USB port limit patch is working (in Mojave I think no) Once upon a time you have mapped USB in HS , your SSDT will work also in Mojave..and maybe also if you change your bios (if USB config in it does not change) (noDSDT but SSDT) I am not using mojave because the lack of Nvidia web driver ..but usb is fine1 point
-
Hi I do not know if a patch for USB port limit exists in Mojave In my case I do not use any patches because I have remapped my USB as you can find in this guide All USB are working fine (USB 2/3) I have created a SSDT for it and with this no portlimit patches is needed By now I am working on a big project on Windows so I cant share for now any EFI but it is very simple no strangeness on it I will put it as soon I can Ha scritto dopo 3 minuti 35 secondi: for USB problem, if you have High Sierra you can use this tutorial to have all working and used USB also inside Mojave (SSDT is independent) https://www.macos86.it/viewtopic.php?f=68&t=702">viewtopic.php?f=68&t=702">https://www.macos86.it/viewtopic.php?f=68&t=7021 point

@gprime about TSC Synch Have you a proper kext in your Efi/other folder proper means a value of Number of cores/threads less 1 in my case 36-1=35 post your EFI if you want I am on 10.13.6 because lack of support in Mojave for my Titan gfx 7960x is a 16 + 16 cores/threads Cpu so you have to put inside TSC a value of 31 32-1=31 attached a kext properly configured for your CPU I do not think this will solve your CPU problem in all cores load..but you can try :) TSCAdjustReset.kext.zip1 point

Hi @kingkong89 thank you for your comment follow us if you can, and if you want try you can create a custom SSDT for your USB in a very simple way check in Guide section :)1 point
