In this thread is possible to post benchmarks with owned GPU ('s) Candle benchmark for DaVinci Resolve Studio Thread is open also for unsupported GPU in OSX like 6900 xt, 6800 Xt, 6800 (we hope in a near support for them) but also it is possible to post results for Nvidia GPU like RTX series that will never be supported by OSX (Sob 🙂) I will start with mine GPU, you can see in this video On YouTube a simple video showing initial Davinci resolve setup (OpenGL / Metal or Cuda if it is available) If you like you can post your results using a screenshot for frame rate in different environment you use It is welcome any new GPU benchmark (AMD rx 6900 xt and similar 🙂 🙂 ) You must play inside Color page and take note only there of your maximal FPS Attached useful file for this benchmark Candle benchmark.zip

Ho provato prima con questo SSDT ed ora le porte sono tutte correttamente rilevate! Ho allegato ioreg. Se ti serve per qualche motivo anche l'ioreg con l'altro SSDT postato prima, dimmi, che lo provo comunque! iMac Pro.zip Questa è l'ultima EFI, contenente l'SSDT appena postato da @Gengik84, che permette il perfetto funzionamento delle varie porte in HS-SS-HHS-SSS. EFI.zip

@DS-1 altra prova mi raccomando alle prove, non sbagliare verifica e allega ioreg per ciascuna SSDT-3-xh_kbl_s.aml 2.zip

@DS-1 mi posteresti la EFI che usi ora, così nel pomeriggio posso vedere un po' la situazione

su AMD tranne casi molto particolarei mappare le USB non serve per provare la tua scheda grafica scarica cinebench R15 e luxmark3.1 e provali

We (OSX users) have to hope for a new Radeon Pro for MacPro 2019 users..i do not think this is an impossible task otherwise it will be the end of some tasks in OSX till apple will produce a great M1 GPU..i do not think it is possible till 3/4 years for now..only speculation from me 🙂

no a meno che il dispositivo usato sia difettoso e lavori solo in 2.0, oppure dipende dal controller asmedia che fa uno switch anomalo le asmedia sono native come 3.1... ma 2.0 e 3.0 è meglio completamente intel

@meina222 I think this is a similar problem you have in windows with openGL video refresh Some time happens also in Big Sur beta...witing is the solution..it solves by itself with a bit of time xmeina_problem.mp4

@Perdu ora hai la patch e tutte le usb visibili quindi ti dovrebbero funzionare tutte le usb. quella frontale del case di fatto è collegata su un hub interno e se questo avesse problemi non dovrebbero funzionare nessuna potrebbe essere difettosa proprio quella porta sul case

@Arrakis OSX OpenGL is a previous version if compared with windows one A hope is that in metal new board will work well has old GPU like Vega or Radeon VII for now results are pretty bad in my opinion and I cannot think AMD did a top GPU only for raster games!

No it is not a Beta <problem, it seems a bad gpu driver problem If your system restart in a good way you can only to try to open davinci (without clicking on davinci project, but click on app icon), then drag and drop inside it a video instead..for your main problem now..have you rev 1.0 or 1.1 of designare Board? if you are on 1.0 you are in good fellowship..I know also 4 users with problem of failure with their board..it is weird because in my opinion is the best trx40 motherboard I have seen..but maybe they have a fault in their project to do so fast a rev 1.1 board

@Arrakis try to force OpenCL also in OS X davinci preferences you will see pretty same windows results I think

you have to go in color or edit page to see something and then from edit page you have to relink video file

@meina222click on project and open it then from the edit page click on red clip icon (missing link) right clip replace file search on your drive trackingxxxx.mov file and choose it then move to color page and press space

ah ok you are not in a studio version but in public version..It seems, some effects do not apply in (not) Studio version maybe a trial version..

Many thanks @Ploddles for this test it seems it performs like a Nvidia 1080ti or Titan Xp How I have said before I am a bit disappointed of this result because they are a bit less than previous Radeon VII GPU I hope it is a bad driver...but very weird what AMD has done.

uhm..if so this confirms that new AMD GPU don't play well with OpenCL... to be clear it seems they are worst also of a cheaper RTX 3070 card..and for me this is unbelievable 😞 I have to hope in a better driver or in a Metal OSX support...but these numbers are worst than Radeon VII previous top of the line AMD GPU

il tuo scopo principale e' avere anche hackintosh facile o puoi farne a meno o doverci perdere piu' tempo per farlo andare? ti chiedo perche' se sei arrivato ad 800 di budget senza video... potresti optare per una asrock steel legend x570 e metterci un processore in base alle tue tasche espandibile nel tempo la configurzione che hai messo ha un punto debole nella piastra madre (z390) e nei soli 8 gb di memoria

su ebay ora dalla Cina spesso le trovi anche in Europa

@Vladimirostavo leggendo il post iniziale quando dici di avere un i7 4790K e 32 Gb...in firma..io vedo altro 🙂 cmq tornando seri devi stabilire un budget e poi da li vedere cosa comprare in base allo stesso ed alle esigenze io dell'usato sicuro non mi fido.. poi al limite preferisco scegliermi ed assemblare tutti. i pezzi da me per il 15% in piu' dipende..se poi ti aumenta anche le prestazioni della GPU per quello si deve calibrare il tutto

Se ci lavori ti consiglio il cambio 🙂 non rimarrai deluso ed avrai due opzioni (MacOS e windows nel caso Più in la poi se il livello delle lavorazioni lo richiede potrai metterci una scheda grafica piu' adeguata Per quella configurazione o una vega o meglio una Radeon VII se scendono i prezzi 🙂

ciao il 9900k o il 10900 k andrebbero benissimo (se sono supportati dalla tua piastra) Per Amd non me la sento di consigliartelo per i motivi di cui sopra 8altro thread9 con la 1080ti saresti limitato ad High Sierra e potresti avere diversi problemi nella configurazione del driver Nvidia Chiaramente dovresti nel caso passassi ad AMD cambiare anche la piastra madre
