No, i think is not compatible with Proxmox way

Also you CPU seems to have problem with vanilla installation so it seems Proxmox for now it is the only solution to have OSX installed on 9900x system

@Shaneeeis trying to solve this problem

The only problem I am seeing is some small artifacts (sometimes I see a white flat line here and there on some windows, or some fonts look odd. Resizing the window fixes it).

Not sure if its my Sapphire Nitro + RX 580 8GB issue, or some configuration problems. Trying to setup a Windows VM to rule out the hardware issue.

Which is a Thunderbolt device, right? HOW are you trying to get it to work?

A (flashed) GC-Titan Ridge AIC should work.

A Thunderbolt 4 AIC might be workable, though likely without hot plug.

On-board USB4 from what appears to be an ASM4242 is a lost cause.

hello dny in order to run apollo you need to have your soundcard plugged in and turned on while your computer is off.then turn on the mac and install it.it may ask you to restart again after each usb eject or fw update.but you can use it this way.it is defined as coldboot.

i tried that option but nothing works for me, the asus proart x870e creator has the ASM3242 not the ASM4242. Is it possible that it does not work because i have installed 4 nvme ssd´s and the pci card for wifi and bluetooth ?

I think you should first try to run apollo from type-c on window and if it works then try it on mac.

if it works in win then try if the usb ports work, especially the type c port which is usb 4.0

I may be wrong, but when you use pci cards, certain pci buses are disabled, so the last resort is to remove the additional cards and try.

I just saw ASM3242 | USB 3.2 Host Controller 20G
this is not usb 4.0, probably because of this problem.
because thunderbolth support came with usb 4.0

your mother board have 40g type c port try this port

This device will not work if you plug it into 20g slots.

Finally, make sure your type c cable supports thunderbolt or usb 4.0.

If your usb c port works on mac, try connecting another device.for example usb drive etc.

Hi all, having issues getting this to work. This is my first time trying this in over 7 years. It was a long time ago I used Hackintosh

  • Motherboard: ASUS  X870-E PROART WiFi – Latest BIOS Version

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 7950X

  • RAM: 2x16GB Corsair 6000 MHz

  • GPU: AMD RX 6600 (4090 in the same system but disabled )

  • NVMe:  WD Black SN850X

Using the efi in first page, i get a black screen, and nothing shows if I use OpCore-Simplify i get an error, and shows support.apple.com/mac/startup

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated

Not useful for AMD using OC simplify

your EFI misses completely MMIO whitelist part

i would suggest to use my initial EFI in this post (updating kext, amd kernel patches and opencore) and post again your result and EFI

This i have attached is an EFi for your system

I don't know which OS you are trying to install and if you disable your on board wifi which is not compatible with OSX

Other unknown part is where your 4090 is installed

On OSX your motherboard needs a SSDT bridge if you use RX 6600 on you lower PCIE slot

however if you are trying to boot Sequoia or Tahoe or lower you can try this:

EFI.zip

post a photo or a video where it hangs 🙂

By the way, in your latest EFI you missed to update AMD Kernel Patches to latest

useful if you are trying Tahoe installer

So i was trying to install Tahoe and slot one nearest the IO i have 4090 then slot 2 is empty and in the bottom slot i have the  6600 - with the above attached EFI i still get a black screen im guessing i need a SSDT bridge?

,i have tried to create this with ssdttime but same results but i'll be honest i dont really know how to use that tool

thanks again for all the help

have you connected your monitor to rx 6600?

in my EFI there is a bridge for latest PCIE slot of your motherboard (the address should be the same)

do you see a boot menu?

then i have put -v boot arg to your config.plist so you should see after bios stage an opencore bootmenu

then an icon with your installer..and then some verbose scrolling text lines
