Hello everyone

Can I annoy someone (especially Lorys89) to help me? I have the Dell Latitude 7210 2-in-1 but with the i5-10310U processor, 512GB SSD and 16GB RAM. I set the cfg lock to disabled and to set the dvmt pre to 64mb, tried different bios settings on or off, but they keep getting stuck at the Apple logo with the loading bar, it gets to about 30% and then the computer reboots.

I tried a different EFI that I found on youtube for "Dell computer" and that boots to the installation screen. I also use GenSMBios to generate my serial number and other necessary information. But freezing during installation, I let it run for 12+ hours the other night and keeps out the error (according to the logs) without moving forward. So I gave up on that. Any help is appreciated! Also, forgive me for Italian, I'm using a translator. 🙂

Thank you very much! The EFI folder worked, and I was able to install Big Sur on an external SSD and an internal SSD. Both are SK Hynix (brand) 512GB NVMe, internal is the #BC511 model, external is the #BC711 model. Both run MacOS, but BC711 (external) runs MacOS fast! The internal BC511 runs slowly, taking about 24 bounces to open apps. Also the wifi doesn't work with the default Intel model AX201NGW, I have an Apple approved WLAN model BCM94360NG but it works very slowly, barely 1mbps download speed. I'll keep playing it and see if I can find updated kexts that will fix the wifi. I also purchased a USBC ethernet adapter identified by macOS but which keeps auto-assigning an IP without internet. I could just keep MacOS on the external USBC SSD since it runs fast, but that defeats the purpose of having it on a laptop.

Thanks again and sorry for my Italian, I'm using google translator. 🙂

Ciao Lorys89, prima di tutto, voglio ringraziarti ancora una volta, il tuo tempo di risposta è stato incredibile rispetto ad altri posti dove ho chiesto aiuto. Secondo, terrò macOS sull’unità USB-C poiché sembra funzionare più velocemente rispetto all’SSD interno. Ho installato con successo Sonoma e aggiornato all’ultima versione senza problemi. Heliport ha risolto il mio WiFi! A volte è lento (1mb/ps), altre volte va bene (30mb/ps).

Hi Lorys:

I am very grateful for your EFI sharing. I have a Dell 7210 laptop with i7 10610u CPU, and I'm running MacOS 15.0 Sequoia. As I have replaced the network with a BCM94360Z4, I have removed the IntelWiFi driver related to AX201 from the EFI you provided and added AMFIPassV1.4 and IOSkywalkFamily-v1.2.0 for the BCM network card driver under MacOS 15.0 using OpenCore-Legacy-Patcher 2.0. I have also selected the information for the MacbookPro 16,4 model, and my laptop's BIOS is the latest version 1.33 not modified.

However, when I entered the Mac to run the codes, the following issues arose(below the Pic). I have sent you the updated EFI file I used, and I would be grateful if you could help me identify where the problem is.

Additionally, if you could assist me in modifying the BIOS version V1.33 to adjust the CFG disable and set dvmt total to MAX, that would be even better. Because I can't to extract the BIOS.

Thank you very much for your help!

Try this, backup your EFI folder and put new folder in EFI partition, the panic is caused by the presence of 2 IOSkywalkFamily.kext, you had to block the one in the S/L/E folder of the system, also IO80211FamilyLegacy.kext was missing in the OC folder.
Of course you will have to launch the OCLP patch and reboot to have the wifi working (I have already changed the value of csr-active-config to disable SIP).
For the bios I can't help you

Thank you for your EFI, I have already entered MacOS 15.0. However, the application launch is very slow and laggy, as the program icon jumps in the dock for a long time before the program starts. I assume this is because the BIOS has not been modified. I will try to extract the BIOS again. Anyways, thank you for your assistance.

There is a small issue with the original Dell Pen not working on MacOS, and I'm not sure which driver can fix it. It used to work before.

My touchscreen and touchpen work, Stops working on wake after sleep

Regarding the speed of this tablet it is strange, it goes faster when it is not charging.

Do you have dual boot on a single disk? Or do you have the second nvme 2242 installed on wwan slot?

Probably, I recommend adjusting the sorting of your EFI kext and then trying again(see below Pic), if the touchscreen and Dell Active pen running normally after the system wakes from sleep.

Currently using a dual-boot setup with a single hard drive, running Windows 11 Pro and MacOS. I am planning to purchase a 1TB 2242 NVMe SSD dedicated specifically for the MacOS system.

But I'm not sure how the speed and smoothness of MacOS 15 on a 2242 NVMe SSD. It might be slow, after all, the WWAN supports PCIe 3.0 x2.

My touchscreen is now working properly, and the Active Pen is not working due to being out of battery.

I would like to express my gratitude again to Lorys for support.

Many Thanks!

Finally, how to extract the BIOS version V1.33 and modify it using RU.efi? I have tried many software but was unable to extract it. Can Lorys assist me in modifying the BIOS?

Disabled CFG Lock, set DVMT pre-allocated to 64MB (it seems to be the default 64MB) and set DVMT total to MAX.

Many Thanks!
