Xsario
@fabiosun, They are excellent scores. Can you share your 2124 bios file with me when you can? I want to try it on my motherboard. Thanks.

Ploddles
No change for me in Beta 4. It is still totally unusable because of the graphics glitches, e.g totally red screen in web browser windows, the same for mail messages and often the whole screen becomes unreadable or lags when you click anything.. Supervisor fabiosun Posted July 25, 2024 Author Supervisor Share Posted July 25, 2024 (edited) @Ploddlestry to adapt this config.plist to yours if you use 2124 BIOS for ASUS you could use it as is (NO DSDT but some ACPI patches added) I use also a different kext for our ethernet card (check also bootarg) config.plist.zip Edited July 25, 2024 by fabiosun

I now have it working as it should. The kext you use for the ethernet card (AppleIGC.kext) does not work for me. If I enable that kext and disable AppleIntelI210Ethernet.kext my system just hangs at a black screen. If I disable both of those kexts the same thing happens, I just get a black screen. Enabling AppleIntelI210Ethernet.kext (with the e1000=0 boot arg) and it works again, but ethernet speed is only 10% of what it should be - but that is better than nothing. The AppleIGC.kext I have is V1.5 dated 14 June 2024. I will experiment with a few things over the weekend.
Supervisor fabiosun Posted July 26, 2024 Author Supervisor Share Posted July 26, 2024 About Ethernet and low speed set hardware speed in Ethernetproperties manually then set speed to 2500 it is a known problem For the other kext solution use latest appleIGB you find in macos86 GitHub if you want to try Ethernet with this kext
Supervisor fabiosun Posted July 26, 2024 Author Supervisor Share Posted July 26, 2024 @Ploddles kext i use is this: AppleIGC.kext.zip this without any bootarg (e1000=0 i mean) if you use the other appleintel210ethernet you must use e1000=0and set configuration as i said above to have maximal speed:
Ploddles
That updated kext solves the issue, thank you. Are there any advantages using that rather than AppleIntelI210Ethernet.kext?
Supervisor fabiosun Posted July 28, 2024 Author Supervisor Share Posted July 28, 2024 Yes you can use auto in Ethernet settings and to Have maximal speed you can alto delete e1000=0 boot arg i am using it and it works well if it is also for you use it👍
Supervisor fabiosun Posted July 31, 2024 Author Supervisor Share Posted July 31, 2024 Added in OP my latest EFI for macOS Ventura/Sonoma/Sequoia I use a FEnvi WIFI with OCLP patches, so you have to check kext and block i use if you use intel WIFI I am using latest 2124 ASUS Hero firmware patched via ACPI patches (Thanks @CorpGhost for the ACPI patches)

Xsario
@fabiosun, congratulations on your new processor. your scores are good. How did you install the new macos? I updated the opencore version to 1.0.1 in the EFI I use, but on the splash screen I only see the apple logo and no process bar.

Supervisor fabiosun Posted September 17, 2024 Author Supervisor Share Posted September 17, 2024 pushing ram @6400 (two sticks) it is much better also multicore benchmark in Geekbench and CinebenchR24 with Cinebench R23 no improvemnt and always a benchmark about 45000 Curve shaper seems to be a powerfull tool to optmize performance and temps/Watt (for 9950x and also for previous CPU Gen)
