Kext che blocca processi indesiderati, i quali creano problemi su hardware diversi

 

Processi inclusi:

• /System/Library/CoreServices/MemorySlotNotification
• /usr/libexec/dp2hdmiupdater
• /usr/libexec/efiupdater
• /usr/libexec/firmwarecheckers/eficheck/eficheck
• /usr/libexec/sdfwupdater
• /usr/libexec/smcupdater
• /usr/libexec/ssdupdater
• /usr/libexec/usbcupdater
• /usr/libexec/vbiosupdater

Aggiornamento: sfortunatamente questo kext blocca gli aggiornamenti quando va a bloccare i vari firmware/smcupdaters/vbiosupdaters, che sono stati rimossi

 

Questo kext va a sostituire le kext deprecate precedentemente per il fatto che per Lilu l'userspace patching è broken, quindi:

 

"/System/Library/CoreServices/ExpansionSlotNotification" (compensa: https://github.com/IOIIIO/MacProMemoryNotificationDisabler)

"/System/Library/CoreServices/MemorySlotNotification" (compensa: https://github.com/Goldfish64/SystemProfilerMemoryFixup)

"/usr/libexec/firmwarecheckers/eficheck/eficheck" (compensa EFICheckDisabler: https://pikeralpha.wordpress.com/2017/08/18/apple-to-cleanup-a-bios-region-of-your-ami-and-phoenix-bios/)

Confermo quanto dice @A23SS4NDRO

appena provato sulla Z370 con ultimo security update e al secondo riavvio l'aggiornamento si blocca e compare una scritta in cui è impossibile aggiornare, per cui propone, salva log, spegni, riavvia e prega 😛

 

Rimosso questo kext, aggiornamento terminato con successo

il che tradotto, hanno aggiornato il kext.... oh si, ho visto ora su github... bene!

Di fatto ora quel kext è solo "cosmetico", nel senso che non può parare dai vari aggiornamenti che macOS vorrebbe fare, dal momento che se vengono bloccati da kext, non si hanno buoni risultati

 

Penso che rimarrà blacklistappleupdate, e run-efi-updater in NVRAM è già deprecato su Big Sur

di fatto non lo è, le cose che blocca di fatto sono presenti e non cosmetiche.

Gli alert che escono all'avvio sulla configurazione della memoria non sono importanti per il funzionamento del sistema, solo noiosi da vedere

si ma tu hai detto che il kext è "cosmetica", con questo si intende "non necessario, che non serve" ma di fatto qualcosa fa

inoltre tranne eficheck, l'altri possono dare crash/KP...

Thanks you fore creating the RestrictEvents kext. We already have the hack in OC to prevent Firmware updates. Now I have loaded the RestrictEvents kext with Lilu as well. Should I now disable the settings like run-efi-updater and Prevent AppleFirmware updates in OpenCore? Or do we need them all together?

in my opinion, just the kext alone
