@SQA From your Imac 1) download instalmaker from our download area 2) download from apple OSX you want to install 3) insert an empty USB pen on your Imac 4) Run InstallMaker app and follow the instructions it will ask to select an OSX installer (previously downloaded from apple store /site) then it will ask to choose USB for installation it will format it and it will put inside all OSX installation files 5) then with Clover Configurator mount the EFI inside in this USB pen Put my EFI inside it sorry I cannot explain better of this 🙂2 points

You have to insert a kext for your Ethernet if your keyboard is an usb one I do not know try to change USB port to use WiFi or Bluetooth you have also to declare others kext you have also to build your mmio part....1 point

Yes for now for the error you have it seems usb was built badly you have to download macOS Catalina again and to do again step above with installMaker app or similar1 point

you have two option as I have said above Clone your iMac OSX disk on your 3970x disk or you have to download from a your iMac OSX installer from apple and then use Install maker to build an USB bootable drive1 point

Have you ever installed OSX on a Hackintosh? you have to build your boot EFi USB pen with an OSX installer inside from windows you have to use: https://github.com/corpnewt/gibMacOS you can try to translate the istructions you can find here: this is the only part of the process you have to do by yourself 😉1 point

mmmhhhhh 😛 😛 MMIO list is different for your board Also if user have the same your board you have to check in your debug log... ah sorry..you have an old signature I think..but that said above is still valid For thunderbolt you need a proper SSDT.aml file to add in ACPI folder and in your config.plist more skilled people to adopt one for you is @iGPU1 point

ops..which rom exactly have you used please say 23 not others I do not want to enter in my big loop of flashing this poor card again 🙂 🙂 Thank you by the way you have a lightning cable to usb C? Or iPhone cable is compatible with TB's usb c at all?1 point

I have tested many firmware for me the best one is the first you tried to achieve best speed you have to build a ssdt i can’t help there monitor should work I think i see all ports available only flashing with patched firmware but maybe I am wrong on this @meina222 ot if you can could you try cb15 I have posted on bare metal thread in vm and I bare metal? only gpu test thank you1 point

GC-TITAN-RIDGE-NVM23-Elias64Fr.bin google for it yyou will find a github repository with also others firmware i have used that one1 point

In Proxmox should be impossible for now also in slot 2 I think it is not possible to passthrough all PCIE Bridges of TR In Bare metal I think you could have success!1 point
-
I have used this: https://www.amazon.com/KeeYees-SOIC8-EEPROM-CH341A-Programmer/dp/B07SHSL9X9/ with this it is possible to have 3,3v and you do not have to desolder stuff (for me without tools and experience would be impossible to do) inserting red oval pin in red square position on programmer you can measure 3,2/3,3 v instead, inserting it in green square position you have an higher voltage measure of about 5,5 v (and this maybe is not good) then following the instructions posted (@igpu) you have to install software to flash and you can do all easily..I have flashed multiple time without any problems1 point

not curious IMHO I think it is related with PCIE slot sharing lines with NVME and this could be a problem it should be to try to detach all name disk only a star disk and GPU and TB card to see1 point

a little update: V23 flashed firmware allows to see my Titan ridge on windows in all PCIE slot I put it (tested on 4 and 2) Linux does not see it in slot 2 Only in slot 4 I can see and pass two pcidevice (TB and USB) with the help of @Gengik84I am trying a new way to proceed DSDT way 🙂1 point

sorry, maybe I explained myself wrong. I just wanted to say, in case I had hurt the jumper between the two pins or if the internal USB cable didn't work ... what happens? I ask this because I can't see any peripheral in windows if I connect it to the thunderbolt port with a type C cable (USB stick or disk) 🙂 🙂 you have given a like also to this post 🙂1 point
-
Good thank you for this info. i have also with v50 original firmware and i cant see disk connected also i see all devices on system properties as it should be..i think i would like to ask: 1) with a not proper tb header jumper cable, what happens? 2) with a not proper usb 2 cable connected on internal usb header and on internal motherboard header, what happens? i have no experiences at all with thunderbolt so any informations could be very helpfull thank you1 point

@iGPU first is stock firmware updated to v50 (my Titan came wit v43 on board right one is with v23 patched firmware (it seems the same you tested to answer to your latter questions: 0) hostpci12: 4b:00 hostpci13: 4d:00 1) no then I have this output for LSPCI -nnk (Thunderbolt/Proxmox related): my first goal is to see a device connected (an external usb type case with a disk) Before I was saying about USB because we have to connect to an internal USB our card) and my internal one are not working in HighSierra i am installing Catalina by now because it has a better management and support for our new motherboard USB Or do you think without completing with a proper SSDT I can't see also a simple usb connection?1 point
-
@iGPU I have to synch my area location time with yours 🙂 I have reflashedto start with a complete (more complete Output) I have a reference Korey of a X299 board and naming apart it is pretty similar to mine Point A,B,C seems to have some problem with pictures1 point
