That's what I thought, definitely the most help so far on the web. Other forums have been condescending and mean.
Just a question, how significant is the loss of performance running out side of the 1st lane?

Silly Question Maybe...
How can I find out if my PCIE lanes which is 16 is running a full capacity?
I have a TRX40 10G (3960X CPU) with 4 (16) PCIE lanes (support x16/x8/x16/x8 mode) because of my case and PSU I have to place the GPU on the last lane away from the CPU.
Will this hurt performance.The motherboard says that all lanes run at 16??? Not really sure?

Big Sur upgrade - SUCCESS!
Checking on everything now.
I upgrade to opencore 064 - then let the machine do its thing.

I am going to detach everything except for the mouse, including headphones.
I will use bluetooth for keyboard.

Results - Shutdown does not work, it just restarts.
The MMIO looks good.
what improvements does AGESA add to the Bios?

BIOS is Jan it is not the latest one.
I don't see that you added pikera arg in this latest config file.
I will wait to confirm if you see it there.

- I discounted my usb audio headphone jack - TX-Hifi Type C audio.
- I loaded the EFI folder and made a back up of mine.
- Rebooted and Selected my drive at boot menu.
- Black screen after initial load, hangs on black screen

System is the same with regards to operation.
- Sound inconsistent
- Shutdown just restarts
- Overall performance is amazing.

M.2 2 Corsair - Hack Catalina, mostly storage - Disabled in Boot
Kingston SATA - Current Hackbuild (Sandbox) - 10.15.7
I have the GPU - Sapphire 5500 XT (just sold my 5700 XT) in slot 1
the wifi card in slot 2 - Fenvi 1200M
M.2 adapter in slot 3
Slot 4 is empty
PSU is EVGA 750GQ
Working on this Kingston SATA Drive and then want to do a fresh install on the M.2 2
I assume I will need to update MMIO and a few other things once I get this Sandbox stable and running optimal for Big Sur.

Please see attached logs.
Shutdown no longer works for some reason prior to the 4G change, it just reboots.
I changed the BIOS setting to enable 4G and removed the npci=0x2000 from boot arg
Let me know your thoughts.

I checked the restart, everything goes away and it just hangs.
Shutdown works!
Audio seems to be working with the front io headphone jack. It has always been inconsistent.
I am going to remove the apple alc and reboot. I will send you the results and logs.
Hope the audio is consistent.
Questions, with Shutdown the way it is? what is the next step to upgrade to Big Sur?
